The Office of the State Auditor is a constitutional office that is charged with overseeing nearly $40 billion spent annually by local governments in Minnesota. The Office of the State Auditor does this by performing audits of local government financial statements and by reviewing documents, data, reports and complaints reported to the Office.

August 18 – TIF: Notice of Failure to File the 2019 TIF Annual Reporting Form mailed to mayors and authority representatives of any entities that have failed to file any statutorily-required annual reporting forms.

August 20 – GID: Forfeiture Incident Reporting Form Law enforcement agencies due.

September 15 – PENSION: First certification deadline for fire state aid.

September 30 – GID: Special District Financial Reporting Form and Financial Statements due for Districts whose fiscal year ended March 31, 2020.
